Aim
The development of a Western Cameroon Regional GIS program aims at providing vital information and build local capacity that will lead to the sustainable management of biodiversity and to improved sustainable development in the region.
Specific objectives
- ii) To mainstream GIS into all conservation, development and educational programs at ERuDeF
- iii) To build capacity of staff, other local NGOs, national institutions and Cameroonian students in GIS use
- iv) To provide training and professional development opportunities which will increase the capacity of local stakeholders in the region
- V)To facilitate the process of mainstreaming GIS into national policy especially for students
- (vi) To develop and maintain a GIS data base for all its conservation and development programs in the region
- vii)To produce and develop geo-spatial maps showing the spatial distribution of conservation species and hotspots in Western Cameroon
